This is the first time I’ve had to post something that hasn’t been LAN related, but since it’s so serious I thought all of you need to know about it…
A zero day vulnerability was discovered this week in the Windows Shell. Basically it allows someone to create a special .lnk (shortcut) file that will run some executable code without your consent. It was then found that this same vulnerability could also be exploited through the favicon, used in Internet Explorer. There are also many other attack vectors that were found. I suggest you read some of the articles about it that can be found online.
I heard about this from listening to this weeks Security Now Podcast, episode 258. If you’re interested download the podcast and listen to Steve Gibson explain all about this vulnerability.

I’m sure that many of you have noticed that there doesn’t seem to be a way to set your avatars on our new site..
This is because natively WordPress doesn’t allow users to just upload an avatar.
So, in order to get an avatar showing for yourself this is what you need to do:
Once you have done this, your new avatar will show on our site
